Bluewater also makes a P.U surfboard made out of superlight foam from Oz and then we glass it with Epoxy Resin to make an extremely strong surfboard that will last considerably longer. FYI: Kelly Slater glass’ most of his P.U boards with epoxy to save his magic competition boards for longer sustained use.

Post-Curing

Bluewater is one of the only glass house’s in Orange County with a post cure system in place. We have what we like to call our “Easy Bake Oven”. When the board has been glassed and hot-coated the board is then placed in an oven heating the board to a desired temperature and then letting the temp drop slowly…This ensures a rock hard cured board ready for riding immediately after pick-up from the shop.

Materials

We hand pick our balsa wood from Ecuador and its’ shipped directly to the bluewater warehouse to be made into collectible surfboards. We also import the wood for the fins from Africa, Brazil, and Asia.
